The irony here is that most people do appreciate getting a new product recommendation from a trusted source. They're hungry for honest, unbiased product reviews and recommendations. And that’s what we offer here at CoolHotNot.
We provide a more objective means of discovering what’s proven and cool, what’s new and promising and hot, and what’s disappointing and a big letdown. In other words, what to buy and what to avoid.
So we start with the CoolHotNot Tech Xperts Team – a group of media stars who have a long-proven reputation for integrity and credibility. They can’t be bought, and we fiercely defend their independence. They maintain lists of products they love, products they want, and products that let them down—and we merge and process those lists to produce a consensus list of what’s cool, what's hot, and what's not.

In order to support the ability of the CoolHotNot Tech Xperts to form valid opinions about products, CoolHotNot arranges product reviews for the Tech Xperts. The Tech Xperts act as proxy for consumers in using their extensive experience and expertise to assess products, so we do what we can to facilitate the review of products of interest to the Tech Xperts with cooperating vendors. The Tech Xperts have been reviewing products for years and have a well-earned reputation for being fair and unbiased; even if they are permitted to keep the products they try on indefinite loan, there is no promise, explicit or implied, made to vendors as to the outcome of the trial. Any product could just as easily end up on the Letdown List (or no list at all) as on the Loved List.
None of the Tech Xperts will, nor will this site, ever accept cash payment or any other consideration in exchange for favorable treatment of any product, service, website or offering. We encourage site contributors to express opinions about organizations, products, and/or services based on their personal experience. This site does receive compensation for posts in the form of products and/or services for the purpose(s) of testing, product reviews, and/or giveaways.
